The Tapestry of Life

The Tapestry is a richly and complexly designed cloth.

We enter  Life...nameless!
No feat accomplished nor goal aspirations.
Where is the path to Fulfilment?

We gaze into World so foreign, needing a hand to guide.
How to weave this “cloth”
with the wools of winter and the silks of summer?

We're attuned to  Nature's palette:
Aqua blues of ocean and lake;
Leafing foliage of greens so pale;
The earth tones...graying stones beneath our feet
and terracotta masonry.
Here, we, with Tapestry blend.

Eyes observe the mosaic of peoples,
of unicorns and horses,
of dogs  and dove;
possibly even mythical beasts.
The imagery  is infinite!
How to begin our Journey?

The Tapestry...influenced by craft and artist,
depicting vari-coloured designs or scenes.
Comprise the elements of intricately woven threads
bonded and fused to blend and mingle....
A composition adorned with emblems symbolic
laced among colourful threads
becomes “the pinnacle of beauty”
gloriously assembled.

We heed to our parents, to teachers and mentor.
Ultimately, decisions we face.
Our “Guiding Lights” impulse and impel us
to the golden unlit path
to struggle or tread with ease
through the corridors of Life.

Apply what we have through talents given.
Take the well defined road to Hope, not Despair.

Diversions beset and complexities invade!
The Challenge....to defeat the blockades
  deterring our paths.

Like the kaleidoscope's aura,
our patterns alter.
Our views entangle and our feelings unhinge,
absorbed with thoughts
 as different ...as the peoples on Planet Earth.
Opportunities have been...and choices gone!
Is our Life worth no more...than a “piece of cloth”?

Assimilate the options.
Let the spirit within be our conscience and guide.
The Kaleidoscope's beauty is the “harmony of pieces”
...each little segment augmenting the picture
as viewed by the human eye.
