Pooh's Wisdom ~ "C'est La Vie!"

POOH'S WISDOM ~ “C'est La Vie!”
Everything on Earth has a purpose ~
Every disease ~ an herb to cure it;
And every person ~ a mission.
This is the Indian theory of Existence.
(Mourning Dove)

Why Winnie the Pooh is the Hero We Need Right Now”
writes Carly Mallenbaum in USA Today.
Living in 'the moment' bear teaches us about the benefit of little or nothing.

It's time we turn off our phones ~ and listen to a silly old bear.
Though A. A. Milne's “Winnie the Pooh” books have been around more than 90 years, the Wisdom of its titled character has never seemed more necessary than it does today.
The calm bear unknowing upheld the basic tenets
of the Chincese philosophy about appreciation: the natural beauty of things.
Poooh just is! He loves and lives with taking a 'selfie' or worry about FOMO.
He doesn't care what he's missing out on ~ he's too enrapt by the present.
In a voice, the sound of a warm blanket, he extols that
Today is my Favourite Day.
Yesterday, when it was tomorrow, it was too much day for me!

Blackie the Crow says to her fledglings sitting on a tree limb,
To make a difference in someone's life,
you don't have to be brilliant, beautiful or perfect.
You just have to care!”
C'est La Vie!

Wild Plains Bison
Pooh, knowing of the plight of bison in Banff National Park...lack of food source...
lack of trails to their forests... and loss of habitation due to roads and traffic,
Winnie was influential in releasing 31 bison into a 1200 square-metre-zone featuring meadows and grassy velleys for grazing. These wild bisons are now free-roaming animals. The Plains Bison are an iconic part of Canada's history, having freely roamed in the Rockies, filling an important need for the livelihood of First Nation People and the early settlers.
C'est La Vie!

Black Bear Needing a Sugar-Fix!
Pooh met a young black bear on Vancouver Island who was desperate for a 'sugar-fix'. To Anna's house, Pooh sent him ~ a 95-year-old woman had left her door open ~ just for a breeze. Bear was shhooed out twice, being told twice to Beat It! She also told bear on another attempt, No! Go Home!.
So he went into the woods. On his 3rd attempt, he found a sugar bin and sugared his mouth before heeding BEAT IT! GET OUT! Again. (Pooh had again succeeded to aid his 4-legged frinds.
C'est La Vie!

Swans and Cygnets
It was a proud Parenting Moment when Ma and Pa Swan took their 4 babes to a shallow pond for their first swim. When needing to lay her eggs, Pooh led her to a grassy glade to nest ~ with a nearby flowing stream. Pooh looked proudly on as the wee ones splashed...learning to swim among the many lily-pads...upon one which sat a small turtle, soaking up morning sun on his shell.
C'est La Vie!

Toronto Zoo's Bats
How Pooh knew ~ I dont' know! He's just so Instinctive!
He'd heard of this endangered species ~ and told the Zoo about them. Authorities then placed them in a Conservation Program. These bats roost in trees and forage for food...picking their prey off leaves and even catch flying insects. And now, for these bats: C'est La Vie!

Camouflage!
A Ruby-Throated-Hummingbird consulted Pooh, needing to build a nest where her hatchlings, when born, would be safe. He discovered for her a tree with lots of knotty bark...explaining to her that her nest and babes would be 'camouflaged' among bark and leaves of this woodland location. Delighted she was and amazed at Pooh's wisdom in meeting her imminent needs.
C'est La Vie!

If you talk to the animals, they will talk to you
and you will know each other.
If you do not talk to them, you will not hear them;
and what you do not know, you will fear.
What one fears ~ one destroys.
(as heard by Chief Dan George)

Rainbow House
Known for his wisdom, Pooh was consulted by a human, stating: “I have an old house that is very, very small and is most unattractive. In your wisdom, Pooh, what can you do to make me house-proud?” Remembering Hummingbird and how he camouflaged her nest...with his tiny little brain, he had an idea. Pooh hired a painter who marked the wall in squares...and with Rainbow Colours, the exterior was superb. And all the humans walking by, now admired this once little house.
C'est La Vie!

Carly Mallenbaum concludes: “Yes, he is clumsy! Yes, he's a bear of very little brain;
But there is a reason he's the greatest friend in the Hundred Acre Wood.
He never chooses work over caring for his loved ones.
He enjoys the sweetness of life immensely without broadcasting his perfect day.
He is just living joyously and singing about it.”
